Although I wonder how water resistant the lower would be (30D sil - described as "draft and drip proof") if it was sticking out from beneath a small tarp (if you aren't using a small tarp you'd seem to be loosing out on weight and might as well be carrying something closer to a (admittedly lightweight) tent).

Secondly, it seems a great bit of gear for the summer / drier months as somethign that would very nearly be "standalone" but it hasn't got a bug proof top. I dislike both the winged teeth and the taste of slugs

Anyone used one or got any thoughts?

I'm liking that but I do have 2 reservations ... as you say CM, a net over the head end would be nice and any moisture that does find its way into the bathtub can't escape.

I'm assuming that it's pretty much like most ultralight bivvy bags with regard to rain and waterproofness but the base material should be 100% waterproof.

Dropped an email to Sean. Apparently proper breathable fabrics are too expensive to cottage vendors to be viable. Might add a net in due course but for now I think he's sticking to what it is for supply/ stock reasons.
