Here's a short video from last weekends camp in Beddgelert forest. I should have made more of an effort getting the footage together but my heart wasn't in it :???:

That's not too bad.

How do you do the panning shots when on your own? or is it in the editing? if so what do you use please?

Cheers John

The panning is done in the editing. I use Windows Movie Maker which is as easy as it comes tbh. There's a few different transitions/effects you can use to pimp it up although I think I've reached the end of the capabilities of it now though. Got Pinnacle Studio 17 being downloaded as a torrent :-bd

like!

AT 51seconds in (if you pause it!), the hill to the far left is Moel Hebog (3rd highest mountain in Snowdonia I believe). The hill to the far right we call 'The Bowl' and is where I have camped out on a fair few times. Superb views over Snowdon, Anglesey and that whole stretch of coast.

Love it.

Nice. Is this a gopro or other make? I'm looking to get a camera for the kids  for media studies and can't decide what to get.

Thanks for the feedback guys

Slowupslowdown-you're right I was camping in the shadow of Moel Hebog, but 3rd highest is a little too much  If you camped on Yr Arran, then I can see how the views were spectacular, a cracking spot
Rufus-Yes, a GoPro 2, simple but vaguely exciting piece of kit. Get the waterproof housing and its pretty much indestructible

When the sun is shining and the weather and surroundings are spot on the footage can look pretty good:

Nice man,

Had there been a storm. What's with all the fallen trees?

Probably the gusts we had a few weeks ago. There were quite a few trees over the fire road tbh which needed a full on detour on the track to get round them
