I've been using the Wildcat Tiger and have noticed the back of my legs touching it while I'm riding. It also makes a squeaking noise around the seatpost area when going over bumps etc. Just wondered if anyone else had the same problem and if they managed to resolve it. Thanks.

Never had any issues ... 99% of the time I forget it's there.

Is there anything specific / odd about your set-up? Saddle very forward or rearward, carbon setpost, etc?

Same as Stu. Never had an issue. Post a pic of your setup so we can take a look...

Nothing unusual about my setup, it's a carbon seatpost but the noise is coming from the strap buckles as well. The saddle is set slightly back too. I'll see if I can post a pic.

mine squeeked once or twice, and I can get it to repeat this sometimes. As soon as I tightened the seat strap a little after a mile or two it stopped.

If you're of the chunckier thigh like my good self its possible sometimes that the legs touch it a bit. This makes it rock side to side. Make sure everything is good and tight, I also taped my seatpost both to stop wear and increase grip on the strap a little.

When tightening the seat post strap, it's important to chase out any slack when you double it back through the second d-loop - the rubber tends to grip to itself quite well. I also put some 'copter tape around the seat post, which the rubber grips a bit better than metal or carbon. You can actually pull very hard on the strap through the first d-loop, which puts the most tension around the seat post - this should stop the squeaking.

mine squeaked a bit until I managed to get the main strap tight enough I recall!

Wrap an inner tube around your seapost, it may help to stop it from moving/squeaking

I have that exact same seat post and i had trouble with mine sqeeking alot. However it now seems to have bed in and doesnt make a peep. I did use talc on the rubber to start with which shut it up!
