Waterproof jacket (again)

Hi.
I have read through the other waterproof jacket post and the answer to my question does not seem to be in there!

So here is my waterproof jacket question
I lost my Rab on demand smock and need to replace it, so what is out there that people have or tried?
I would like it to be highly breathable, packble and a generous cut for a comfortable fit (xxl 48") max price £200 but cheaper would be nice.
I do like the gore alp jacket!?
Thanks

I've got a Rab On-demand and an OMM Kamleika, I wear them both the same amount. The OMM is great but a little different, the material is actually stretchy and at first I wasn't convinced it was waterproof but it is. It also breaths really well, has a hood that'll go under a helmet, is light and seems very hardwearing.

How breathable? I'm on the lookout for a new waterproof...I don't find gore-tex paclite breathable enough...and I'm probably off to buy a paramo pasco, but do fancy something lighter and more packable for when it's warmer..

MM, most people say good things about the gore stuff, I have a paclite jacket and it's been pretty good tbh; just I need something to be more breathable now I have the chance.

How breathable?
I've no idea what the actual figures are but I wore it solidly for 3 days in Scotland (inc' sleeping in it one night) and I didn't turn into a sodden mess

Stick with either Gore-tex active shell, event or Neo-shell and you'll be fine for waterproof/breathable levels

I have the OMM Kamleika and although I have not tested it as well as Stu will have done, I am
pleased with mine and it packs down quite small as well.

I like the oom smock is exactly what I am after but I don't think it sizing will suit me however the full zip version boast a more general fit so that is a avenue to explore the reviews for it are pretty good all around, I want to try a few before I commit first. I know I am fussy... ;-)

Narrowed my options down to a Rab myriad at go outdoors, they should have it in store this week for to try, fingers crossed as I really like the jacket on paper.
Thanks for every ones input

It's a lovely jacket - I found the arms too long for me though which was a massive shame

SportPursuit have a sale on Gore Tex Clothing at the minute (Less than half RRP) I've used the site and bought quite a bit. It's a wee bit addictive http://www.sportpursuit.com/join/Meraid_Griffin_4d787a

I really like Paramo kit but for something light I have a Rohan elite waterproof - very light, breathable and fits me really well (I'm a 48 inch) chest. I think they retail for about £200 but they often seem to be on sale - I think I had mine for @£130

I'm currently banned from buying anything at all from sportpursuit.com as it would appear I can't help myself (merino base layers seem to be a particular weakness)!!!

Got the Rab myriad jacket today and it is excellent, it fits nice, sleeves are a bit long as someone said but I can live with that, jacket feels super soft and ligh on and my helmet fit under the hood perfectly.
Rab wins again

This is me>>>> :-)
