No one ever found it, even armed with the GR
The bottle of whisky is either still buried or someone else cheekily had it for themselves

What happened to 'Alpkitnick' (think thats his name) who's a member on here?? May Stu can add a bit of light to this subject?

Still like the idea there's a box of Alpkit stuff stashed and no one can find it, If I didnt live in Southampton I would be all over it.. :-bd

I think this years WRT should have a couple of hidden tresure boxes stashed away on route so people can grab an item but they have to leave something for the next person bit like Geocache?? Simple log book with a pen so you can sign it and leave a note for the next person??

Just found this from last year:-
AlpKit will be sponsoring a WRT Treasure Hunt ... here's what you have to do if you want to join in.

• Somewhere within grid square SN7391 a locked goodie box will be hidden. You can aquire the combination to unlock it from the AlpKit bike when you sign on at the start of the WRT.
• The box will contain various items that'll make a night in the hills more interesting and/or enjoyable. They're not the sort of things you'll really want to be carrying around with you, so if you're planning to overnight somewhere near to SN7391 you're in luck.
• Your task is simply to locate the box, unlock it and enjoy the fruits of your labour for the evening. Certain items may require returning to the box once you've finished ... there'll be instructions explaining everything.

So reading this, its packed with Alpkit goodies.... IF anyone finds it I think the least you can do is give me something as Ive revived it :YMPRAY:
Also I want Pictures???

So the race is on.....................

For various reasons it became simply a bottle of whiskey stashed on that grid square
