A humbling day but fun too!

I spent yesterday up at Coed y Brenin helping guide/instruct a day for disabled riders. It's the first time I've had much to do with handbikes, etc. I had the chance to ride various types before people turned up and strangely I only had a few near misses.

In the afternoon a group of us went for a ride, the determination shown by all the riders on the handbikes was superb, so was the enthusiasm with one rider launching himself over the edge of a berm, gaining a black eye, getting rolled back onto his wheels then giving it another go ;)

There's now talk of an overnighter sometime next year ... that'll be a real adventure. If it comes off I may be asking for assistance/helpers - you've been warned

Thank you ... nothing'll happen until next year but if it comes off I reckon it'll be something to remember ;)

Here's a couple of the bikes in action. Some of the folk in the pic weren't with us but caught us on the climb ... obviously we left them on the next descent ;)
Oddly Steve riding the white bike in the picture, thought I was mad because I rode singlespeed!

Count me in too please Stuart.

My company sponsors a "hand bike Olympian" Karen Darke, I have met her a number of times and is a true inspiration to me.
