Random, BMX advice needed!

So, both my lads are members of the BMX club and I'm looking for some advice on getting them a new bike each as the ones they have have been outgrown really.

My eldest is 5ft5 or therabouts now so I would think I'll just get him a full sized adult one. But, I gather theres top tube lengths to consider...

The youngest is 4ft 10 but I dont expect that to last long so would rather get hime something a little on the larger side than smaller. I know I could re-hash the oldest's outgoing bike but its his birthday, and that'd be a rubbish present!

I gather that there is various categories of BMX but they a re mainly on the race track, though arent that fussed about racing and the oldest says he'd like to learn 'street' too.

I dentifying the correct type of bike is prooving difficult, as is settling on what size is correct. Does anyone know anything about it, and what I should look for / avoid?

Cheers :D

I'd get in touch with Winstanleys Dave. They seem to be one of the few places that cater for all types of BMX rather than taking the BMX is a BMX approach.

I always wanted one of these ... how else can you get a carbon forked Intense for £550? ;)

Support the Winstanleys comments - they were great when trying to size up my two (although both are smaller). Good deals as well; got a near half price Redline off them last year.
