The local powder coaters are okay but a little 'industrial' so colours are very limited, I'm looking for something a little more flamboyant (possibly candy apple green). Can anyone recommend me a good powder coaters? Quite happy to parcel bits up and send them off.

you wont get candy in a powder coat. Powder is only available in a limited colour range (compared to paint at least). Candy is a paint finish.

I wouldn't rule out paint. Treston finishers (southampton) did my mates bike in paint as the colour wasn't availble in powder- and it lasted well. good paint job should be as good as powder coat.

Candy and Pearl are both available as powders, as are fluorescents ... the world of powder coating has moved on from gates and railings ;)

The website's awful, but several friends have had great results using these guys for both powder coating and polishing. Bristol based.

At the risk of getting emotionally involved in this project. Have a look at aerocoat.net they are just up the road from me and does coating for all sorts, including show car wheels for Lotus. He also did my sister's cast iron garden furniture bright pink with gold glitter.....

Hmm, .net seems to be out of action. Www.aerocoat.co.uk works. :D

Argos in Bristol did a superb job on an old Kona of mine - it wasn't cheap though!

My Mather is going to cromaworks in Sheffield in a couple of months.

Not powder coat, but the stuff they can do is vaguely exciting. And price is reasonable for the work.
