What, no Mad Cow Weather thread??

An endearing feature of this forum is how there is always a weather thread for upcoming BB events... Very often weeks in advance...
I cannot believe no one has mentioned the unmentionable for this weekend so far!
So, as no one else has raised the subject, I thought I would...
Latest forecast for the Mach area according to the Met Office is not too horrendous:

A bit brisk, but not too wet and windy hopefully...
I have a VERY modest route in mind that doesn't feature a single GR. Focusing on the sleep out, rather than the ride this year.
I haven't been riding as much as usual, so the legs are a little reluctant
See you at the weekend...

Aye most unusual, JC is our usual weatherman.
I could do without icy roads biking from the station on Friday but all else is fair game really.
(Si, there's a nice spot a couple of hundred yards from the school

)

Expect some lingering and possibly (likely) frozen white stuff on high ground folk.

Strangely, I'm more concerned about the conditions getting to the event rather than the conditions actually riding it

Haha.... I did sleep in the Wendy house outside the school one year... Probably the only one who would fit

Following with interest.
Currently very white in the hills of the Peak district near me.
And if the van needs to much for it's MOT today, then I'm not quite sure how I'm getting there either.
Which stations are somewhere near?

Nearest are Caersws and Machynlleth. Very annoyingly Llanbrynmair station closed in 1965. I'll be doing the Caersws option riding via Trefeglwys and Staylittle, assuming I can get up the hill at Llawryglyn without tyre studs

.
(website running very slow today or is it just me.... maybe it's frozen up)

No real problems getting out of Merseyside to Wigan to pick up Sam Walsh, even now.
So Friday morning should be no problems at all for the drive down to mid Wales
See you all (who can make it) on Saturday morning.
PS our route is going within sight of just one GR which we will see several times
