• Patagonia Nano Puff sizing?

Anyone here know what the newer jackets are like as I plan to get my dad a nano puff or similar. He's an XL in a NEXT gilet. But that's ever so slightly tight.

So I'm assuming an XL in Patagonia would be a perfect fit. He's size12 shoes and broadly built, but not far (maybe slight belly). Just don't wanna pay postage twice if I get size wrong.

Patagonia sizing tends to be pretty consistent year to year. I've been a medium for about 25 years of their clothing! So if he has anything else from them in an XL, it should be fine.

The only caveat will be their running kit which runs tighter.

Thanks Greg. First time getting him a Patagonia for him but I think I'll start with an XL. I tried him for size with my med/large Helly Hansen down jacket and had to help him to get back off his arms. So a Patagonia XL seems sensible

I reckon you'll be alright with that. I find it to be very generously-sized, as with many US brands: I'm a large in most UK/EU brands, but a medium in Patagonia.

Orderd an XL in the down version. £120 from Working Class Hero's, so hopefully can't go wrong. Showed him a pic first and seemed he was quite happy with it.

Let's see how he gets on once it arrives. Very happy at my second ever Patagonia purchase (or 3rd if you include well-used and worn well).

Just as an aside I’ve just had my 20 yr old Nano puff repaired by Patagonia for free including free post and return. Excellent service and totally free. My jacket zip had broken and they replaced it with a new one and patched up a few worn bits and tears on various bits of the jacket. It’s a brilliant service and kept my favourite old knocking about jacket out of the bin. It looks a bit odd as I asked them to use a contrasting fabric if they couldn’t colour match but that’s fine by me.
