Endura MT500 burner boots - any cold weather experiences yet?

Post by redefined_cycles »

My overshoes are done. They lasted yesterday's charity bike ride around the West Yorkshire Cycle Route (not completed) but towards the end they weren't holding at the toes. So the lovely Northwave winter boots I got given are probably not gonna be the smartest option on any 100+ mile deep winter rides (maybe coming up, hopefully it'll not be that cold).

So, I'm buying some new shoes after all (the previous Endura Burner MT500 order never made it in the post and I cancelled after 5 weeks of waiting).

I know (from the Singletrack mag review) that the Fizik Nanuq GTX can handle a good old winter/ice battering. But the price is still eye-watering and I don't wish to spend £50 on a decent set of overshoes.

So, Endura Burner MT500 is again in the sites. Only question is, has anyone actually got any reports of how well they handle the cold temperatures (I believe they handle the water ingress problem beautifully after seeing some reports on here when I ordered)? Thanks in advance.
