Parking at Tyndrum

Hi, does anyone know a good spot to leave a car for a week in or near Tyndrum?
I've paid £10 at the campsite before, but I'm pretty sure they're not open over winter.

Rich, I think you can still park at the far end of the old TI car park (i.e. where we used to park for the HT) as the signs the owner of the new diner don't seem to extend to that bit. The bays across from the shop just up from the Green welly also have no indication they are for customers only.

I parked at the Tyndrum Inn for one attempt. They were fine with it, but I did stay there night before

Thanks!
I've found a free car park just down the road at GR NN 344 291.

I've parked up there overnight but not for longer periods. I think it's just a bit of the old main road, certainly nothing fancy. There were a few other cars/vans parked there as well.
We've been watching some "Highland cops" TV show. In one episode a campervan was reported as having been sat in a layby in Glen Coe for over a week. It turned out that the renters didn't like their holiday so left the van there and flew back to France. (with the keys!) Quite why the rental company didn't have a spare set so they could recover it is anyone's guess.

as long as there are no particular restrictions I tend to feel happy leaving my car parked overnight at railway stations as there's generally folk coming and going, eg

As above, stations don't seem to have restrictions on parking. I left the van at Gairlochead for a few days in May.

I'm pretty sure there is no station parking at upper or lower Tyndrum?

Rich there is an area at Tyndrum lower used for parking and the small space on Tractionmans google maps link at the upper station
In theory you are meant to be a 'customer' to park in a station car park but it would be easy to say you parked the car, got a train somewhere and cycled back! I've never been challenged however.

Cool.
I parked at that spot I highlighted above, plenty of comings and goings, looks like it is popular with the overnighter crowd.
