Carrying stuff on a small frame

I’ve just built up a small Surly Krampus. If I fit a small frame bag to carry a tube / pump / tool I can’t fit a bottle holder.
There are no more bottle bolt holes and even the Velcro attached bottle cage I have won’t fit anywhere. Any thoughts on a way of carrying a bottle without putting it somewhere it’s going to get plastered in mud.
On my small Wednesday I use a frame bag and put the bottle in there but on the Krampus the frame is even smaller..Image

Actually the obvious answer is to use 2 bottle cages attached to the handlebars, one for a bottle one for a tool canister… :-bd

most of the stem cell type bags will hold a waterbottle

I've got a pair of the Alpkit bottle bags that go on the bars. I was a bit dubious at first but they work really well and are easy to access on the go.

Yeah, I have a couple of Decathlon soft stem cell bags that I put each side of the stem. Handy for buff/phone/snacks/water bottles

I use either stem bags, water bladder in a frame bag, or an extra water bottle in my hip pack, which has a pocket for it.
5'2" with a 46cm frame for reference .

I think I’m going for a handlebar bag to carry stuff and the bottle cage in frame… it’ll need to be about 2L, I’m researching…

I'm sure I've got a 'Pauls' stem top cap that has built in cage fittings.

Same, and I'm 6'1". Bladder is my preference, but stem bags are better than frame-mounted cages for keeping your bottles clean.

Unfortunately the only frame bag that fits the frame is so small I’d only get a sip…

My wife's bike has one of those, and it works really well.

Just had a look, and hers is king cage, not Paul's - like this https://www.keeppedalling.co.uk/accesso ... mount__487

My mountain bike frame is a medium but gravel bike is a small. I bought a med Blackburn Outpost Elite full framebag that fits the small gravel perfectly but squeezes slightly (but ok) into the mountain bike. Designed to take a bladder but I stuck my second water bottle into it and it still had space for tools, filter and various other bits and pieces. Worked fine for the 3 days. They also do a small version.
