It's the only one in the next few months that's in my vague part of the country and it might be the thing I need to do to actually get me back out on a bike, as I might have to actually do some training to get my backside saddle ready I guess.

Wanted any feedback from any pervious riders. After starting my Audax career with the most tricky one in the Saff, I don't want to make that mistake again!!!

Not ridden that route but there's some really beautiful lanes and landscapes around that area. It's hilly, nice rolling hills like the Chilterns.

Likewise not ridden the audax, but I live nearby, and the test valley and most of what is between here and Winchester is really good riding. Lovely lanes and rolling hills and countryside. Watership down and the north hants downs are lovely. Almost tempted myself!

I've ridden a bit round that area as I live in South Hampshire, but don't really know it that well. It's doesn't look to bad incline wise on Komoot.
If its half as good as the ones I did last year it will be a real blast!!

You could (should?) be doing the BB Winter Event that weekend, mister.

I want to get out and do a few next year, only done 2 or 3 since Covid. I should enter a couple which will motivate me to get out.

Sadly, I've not been on a bike for over a year now, thanks to a few injuries, but the last one is pretty good now so I have a month and a half to get back to fitness in prep for it.
Plus it's about 5 hours closer to me than BB Towers!

I've signed up for pretty much every Southern Audax I can find in 2025, so by next Summer I should be totally back into ITT's.

dlovett, had not picked up you had been off the bike, sounds a wise decision. I have just rejoined AUK, now to get my monies worth.

Yep, it's been a frustrating time, but for once I've actually been sensible and not rushed back to sports till things were properly healed. A crazy year work wise helped with that!!
