FatBike Scott BigJon £500 to a BB'er

Purchased new from Cookson’s Cycles Manchester in May 2016. It has 4inch tubeless tyres. You can also have my previous tyres: 4.5 inch. I put the lighter Swiss DTBR2250 wheels on to make it lighter. It weighs in at 32lbs. Has lightweight flat pedals (Nukeproof). Even though it’s a fatbike it climbs very well, with its 2x10 drivetrain. It’s great on the moors if going across boggy ground, it’s great on snow, and wonderful riding it on the beach.
Going for £500
I'm about 3 miles north of Bolton.

I hate to be that guy, but your forks are fitted back to front!

@hyppy
The lugs holding the brake caliper are on the right, which is correct !
So they are fitted the right way round. Otherwise the disc rotor would be on the left.
They do seem to be leaning backwards though, where you would think they should lean forwards, giving a less steep steering angle.

I just phoned my bike shop and sent a picture of these forks. Yes ! They are the wrong way round !
I’ve only been riding it 8 years
I’ll take it in and they will change the forks around.
I’ve 3 other bikes which are all “normal” I.e. front rotor on the left, rear rotor on the left.

Amazing! You ought to just be able to loosen the stem, spin them round, and retighten. It'll feel like a completely new bike!

Err … I don't know whether you're just winding me up now!

Yes. He is definitely winding you and us all up Hyppy. Think about it, it's probably a wrong way round rear 135mm hub up front and he probably had the rake set up like this for a reason. Fat bikes and all that. Wierdos

Don’t ride it now you’ve fitted the fork correctly!
It will be so much fun you won’t want to part with it!
Not sure I’ll ever part with my fat bike, seldom gets ridden these days but every time I ride it, it brings a smile to my face and I think I really should ride it more than I do

Thank goodness the fork was bolt through. The caliper will be trying to pull the wheel out of the drop offs. If your other bikes are QR please change them now

Forks wrong way round !!!
Mystery solved..
I came across a picture of the Fatbike on a local ride, December 2021, and the forks were correct… rotor on the left.
I last rode it February 2023, forks correct.
But due to limited space in my garage, I put it against the wall, having loosened the handlebars, with them parallel to the wall.
I got it out this summer to take pictures, and inadvertently (or stupidly

) put the handlebars so the rotor was on the right !
Then put it back again. Never ridden like that. Not ridden since February 2023.
So thanks @hyppy for noticing it

No worries, and if I had the need for a second fattie, I'd be tempted. Hope you find a buyer soon.
