Riding in circles.

Got invited to the velodrome in Newport this evening and I have to admit I quite enjoyed riding round in circles.

I have a whole truck load more respect for the British track team now, especially the sprint and Keirin riders. They're obviously deranged.

I will be going again, much fun was had.

Technically a velodrome isn't circular, but I agree that it's good fun ;)
Perhaps give me a shout next time you go?

I went to the Glasgow Velodrome at the start of the year.
It was really good fun but I was not prepared for the angle of the track, it lookes STEEP when you are standing in the middle getting ready to go on.
The first time I went up the track I was bricking it a little but after you realise that gravity wont smash you into the ground it is an vaguely exciting experiance.

I'm still not 100%, and wouldn't have fancied a big ride in the hills (& rain), but the velodrome is indoors and opportunities to ride there don't pop up all that often...
