Shimano hub question

Spotted these hubs https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/392281237608 ... media=COPY

But listed 8-10 speed

When I look on the Shimano website they are listed as 11 speed
https://bike.shimano.com/en-EU/product/ ... -M828.html

I remember back in the day that Shimano did do a saint hub that didn't do 11 speed or something

Anyone able to shed some light on this?

Obviously I'm after 11 speed hubs

8-10 speed HG freehubs fit MTB 11spd cassettes as the sprocket can be inboard of the inner hub flange a little. I've got numerous 10spd wheels with 11spd Shimano/SRAM/Sunrace MTB cassettes on without issue.

They changed the width of the free hub marginally to accommodate road 11spd cassettes, so anything up to maybe 11-32 11spd cassettes will be too wide.

But it's relatively simple to skim the back of a road cassette to fit the MTB tub, so long as it's one with a central aluminium spider on the bigger cogs.

That's easy for you to say  I did this once for a friend and it took me ages to mount it in the lathe square  It was only that he had very expensive ZIP carbon wheels that I helped him out as a new freehub was £££

True... I think I did it by putting a loop of chain around an even toothed sprocket, then clamping a 3 jaw chuck onto that with the jaws a pushed up against the next biggest.
