Peak Gravel Overnighter - 21st Sept
Posted: Thu Jul 18, 2024 10:38 am
Hi All!
I'm hoping this is can be of interest to people of this forum, I doubt there's many bikepacking novices here but we've all started somewhere right?
If you fancy a group ride with like-minded folks, finishing the first day at a campsite (but staying at the campsite is OPTIONAL) with a pub nearby, and cycling back to Manchester for a drink on the second day, then this is for you!
21-22 September
Start/finish: Balance Brewery in Manchester, right next to Piccadilly station
Terrain: Gravel (the rideable kind) and quiet roads
Distance: 100-120km equally split over two days
The ride: depending on numbers we'll split into smaller groups to suit different paces. Friendly pace with a couple of stops. Nothing stops you from going all-out on your own and meeting the rest of the group at the pub, but it's not that kind of ride.
Ticket includes locally made pastries, coffees, a tour of the micro brewery at the start, and a beer/drink at the finish.
This can be a great excuse for BAM in Sept, meeting new people, treating yourself to a 5* hotel, whatever suits you!

I hope to see you there!
