I've seen a new rear wheel I fancy but it's a SRAM, will a shimano cassette fit straight on?

Yup. So long as its fairly modern. Like 9 speed or summat

Thanks, yes it's 9 speed. Never had any SRAM stuff so wasn't sure. I knew that shifters and mechs didn't match.

Front shifters work. Just the rear dosnt play. Cable pull ratios are different. Cassettes and chains all fine

Wife's just found out I had some spare cash so no new wheel now, got to buy a shed so I can "get that damn bike out of the house". Oh well, knew it had to be done at some point. Looking on the bright side, she won't see/know when I do put new bits on it .
