I know some of you guys use these, looking to get some ergo 2 bar ends but do i need to buy cane creek lock on grips or will they work with any lock grips cheers

I have super star grips with mine. The bit that the bar ends grip to is a bit long and there is a small gap which is has no bearing on use but is slightly annoying when you look at it. Planning to trim but not got round to it so can't be that annoying.

They fit on any "standard" - ODI-style - locking grip (not Charge). Gives quite a neat finish and save a smidgeon of handlebar space.

Or you can fit them on their own with any other normal grip.
