Before I go and spend a small fortune on a set of tyres for my surly looking to see if anyone had anything in the back of the bike cave they want rid of. Doesn’t need to be fancy looking for 29ers and 2.4 or their abouts.

Currently running continental Xkings which have been great but are now almost slick.

What do you have in the deep recesses of the bike cave?

Great tyres imo. OK in the mud for a big tyre, good mixed conditions all-rounders that roll pretty well. Set up tubeless easier than many brands. I got a set a while back and they've been great year-round in Wales and the Cotswolds. The 2.6 is a genuine 62mm / 2.4 width, same casing size as an Ardent 2.4 but seems to be a little taller overall so a close fit in some frames, a Surly should be fine though.
