SD/Mike Ashley is always touted as a likely buyer at times like this for a retail business - perhaps it's a PR thing. If it was up for sale they'll probably look over the books just for the info value even if not interested in it.

With them already buying SportScheck this week there could be something in it though. I wonder whether they'll buy Wiggle/CRC's brands rather than the full online setup and use the existing SD/Evan Cycles channels to churn out DHB/Vitus/Nukeproof?

Could well be something in it, yes. I don't think Wiggle/CRC's brands are SD/Evans/FG's area personally whereas SportsCheck is much closer to what they do.
