Off Road / Gravel Routes Near Bradford Upon Avon?

Hi all,

I need to find a fairly hilly route within maybe half an hour's drive of Bradford Upon Avon. Ideally something in the three hours+ range (I can always do it twice if it's short).

I'm thinking I could probably start out near Devizes, Westbury or Warminster. Sadly I'd say the Mendip Hills are a bit too far away.

Anyone know something vaguely suitable?

Plenty of contours straight out of B-o-A
Down to Frome then the disused railway to Radstock and home?

I had a look, and didn't see much in the way of bridleways around B-o-A. Very much want to minimise any time spent on roads.

I might be missing something though. I don't really know the area at all, I'm just going to be stuck there for a couple of days and really need to get a hard ride in on one of the days as I'm prepping for an event.

cyclepath to bathampton then uphill to marshfield.
Plenty contours round there.
Cotswolds 200 starts from bath heading that way, not suggesting that you do the whole thing in an evening though.

You could ride around Salisbury plain which would be 95km and 1400m climbing. Not done it yet but it's on the list. you can cycle from BoA too. Good farm shop and pub in Edington too.

I did a decent amount of Salisbury Plain on the King Alfred's Way. To be honest I didn't find the area particularly enjoyable.
