EDIT: Following a couple of messages I realise I should have held up one last bit of paper with 'available here' on.

Glad you approve Mark. I was going to go with Mr Cash but I figured my video production was a little more 'punk rock' so Social Distortion seemed more in keepinggreat choice of tunes

Shields are any thin aluminium. The exact spec depends on your level of "resourcefulness".

As CM says, any aluminium sheet will work, as will foil. The shields I make are made from 0.3mm sheet ... I find that they hold their shape well even after heating, don't burn (thinner foil shields often do) and they have a good level of 'springyness' so can be rolled up and slid inside pots, etc. What is the shield made from?

I bow to the stove-guru that is Stu regarding the efficacy of various ally. Personally I just scrounge whatever is to hand and use it until it "dies" (at my rate of trips they might outlast me ). Latest donor is one of those big disposal serving platters.
Pikey, but in a good way 8-)
