Fitting Silicon Grips

I have a new pair of grips to try, some
SQlab 711R. They're a solid
silicon rubber compound, i.e. non lock on. The fitting guide recommends spraying disc brake cleaner onto the bars and into the grips. I don't have any disc brake cleaner, and am wonder what I could use instead...? Water an fairy liquid seems like the wrong choice, as it would appear that I need something that'll evaporate relatively quickly. I do have a sub standard ton of isopropyl alcohol, but I'm not sure if that'll last long enough. Does anyone have any suggestions, tips or tricks...?

IPA works fine. Window cleaner spray is good too.

Tiny bit of WF40 works well too. Don't overdo it.

Given my isopropyl is for the vinyl cleaner, I decided to break out the meths... Thanks all.

I usually use hairspray for grips. It seems to work well enough but make sure you return it to where you found it, it'll prevent all kinds of trouble

I'm still using the can bought for our wedding (2010!). Pleased to say that it's accepted that it lives in the garage.

Last time I tried this, Mrs-Voodoo had bought some expensive stuff with extra shine, also made the grips extra slippery too
