A nice place to be! I guess the trail conditions post-flood will have tweaked their plans but they'll probably find even better riding for it. Fingers crossed for good weather too.

A few detours and route changes were mentioned before they left but I suppose that's part of the adventure ;)

I should just mention that Soos is also out there with them ... she was introduced to the grubby world of bikepacking about 18 months ago on a 3 dayer with yours truly. She then rode the WRT with flatfishy and teamed up with Blackhound for last years BB 200. She was at the WRT again this year, then had a SDW shakedown ride with Blackhound in preperation for this ... just goes to show that when the bug bites it can bite deep. ;)

Banmock Road was good, saw no sign of floods but state park closed.

In Pinedale WY just now having brunch. Short day riding 13+ mph. Rodeo tonight then head towards Atlantic City.

Rodeo was fun but one cowboy hurt himself when he got thrown into railings.
Watching kids riding sheep was unexpected as was seeing 50 kids chase 2 calves to get a ribbon off there tsil.

In Atlantic City and considering doing the Basin tomorrow in one.

Hello Chew! I hope that was mostly type 1 fun, but suspect a bit of type 2 was thrown in ? ;)

Just missed Chew in Steamboat yesterday. Susan has had a lot of work done on her bike, she has a problem with her forks that cannot be resolved quickly. The guys at Orange Peel bikes called Fox direct! Can be sorted when she is home. A few other bits as well such as chain and pads and a rare tyre issue caused by sealant. She has been complaining it is slowing her down. I am now worried that problem is partly resolved!

My pads still looking good but I twisted a chain (again) but the spare link as worked. Other than that bike trouble free.

Before coming out Susan was a little unsure of her ability to do 60 miles day after day fully loaded. She was happy to do her first 100 mile for 15 years into Lima and then suggested we do the 135 mile Basin in one go. We managed it in just over 13 hours including rest stops and a detour to a reservoir for water.

Ahead of schedule and will probably ride local trails without gear tomorrow and head South on Monday. Lots of fun being had.

Our Wildcat gear is doing just fine. Again.

Can you do me a favour please Kevin ? ... just tap her on the shoulder and tell her 'I fuc*ing told you so' ;)
