Anyone tried one (thinking ahead to the winter bivis!)? - significantly warmer than normal Neoairs? Or any comparisons to Expeds?
R value of R4.9 seems to be better than the Synmat 7, I think, at R3.1 with a similar pack size.
Symat 9 looks warmer at R6.0 but larger packed size?

I understand that this doesn't answer your question in any way, shape or form but for winter an Exped Downmat Lite would be what I'd be sleeping on.

Spotted one in a shop in Llanberis yesterday.. wasn't aware of these (Google??) but yep; seemed like a good packed size and I clocked the higher R value too. Might go this way as I had cold legs and feet a few times last winter. Cheers.

I'd recommend the Xtherm, much comfier than the Multimat air bed I had previously and its so warm it feels heated. £119 delivered next day from gaynors.co.uk.

Usually they're warmer but also possibly smaller.

Womans Xlite - 51cm x 168cm 320g
Medium Xlite - 51cm x 183cm 350g.

Can't find an R value for the womans version but it's 3.2 for the medium. For reasons I don't understand a small Xlite has a rather chilly R value of 0.56

I think DNF uses Klymit mats and seems to like them.

Everything I've read seems to say that if they suit your height and sleeping position then they're really good ... if they don't, then you won't sleep much.

Balls, my post went walkabouts...

I've got an xtherm, very comfy, packs small without fuss, pretty light but the standard pump sack is slow to inflate it (I always overinflate and then have to let some out!) and the thermal lining is a bit noisy when you move.

They look interesting but i think I'm going to go for one of these

I'm typing this whilst lying on an xtherm. It is projecting crazy amounts if heat back at me! Can't wait for winter...

Racekit had them at a good price. A while ago anyway.

I've also tried, and still have, a klimet frame skeleton mat thing. Quite comfy, but best if you are a back sleeper. I am too wriggly for mine and don't get on with it. It's for sale in classifieds on here if you look back a bit.
