Mercedes Benz Camper Van Long Wheelbase, High Top. Based on a Mercedes Sprinter with a Mercedes Benz 5 cylinder turbodiesel 2.7L, the van was professionally converted to a campervan by a company based in Devon.

It comprises of a cab area, with walk through into main living sleeping area with sliding door and and opening window. Fully contained bathroom, with a shower/curtained wet room style floor, cassette toilet and bathroom cabinet. This has a to divide the two areas. There are also fully insulated window covers which fit on the windscreen and side windows of the cab area to keep heat in and provide privacy. In the main cabin there are full length head height storage cupboards, waist height floor cupboards, one containing microwave. The kitchen ones include a gas hob with three burners, Sink with fold down glass lid, underneath the hob is the water heater and underneath the sink is the electric fridge freezer. The remaining area towards the back door is divided into metal framed cupboards which have wooden hatch lids. These for the seating area with cushions during the day mode. They will seat 6-8 people and there is a removable table for 4. They contain the 80l water tank, leisure batteries and generator. In night mode the table folds down and connects the two sides together to provide a bed platform of approx. 220cm by 180. The seat cushions move to from the bed. the RHS wall has an opening window with mesh and shade. Both rear doors can open 270d and fold back against the van allowing for views when eating or sleeping. The van has a 12v electrically system, comprising of three leisure batteries, which can be charged by the vehicle engine when running, by the generator, the 400w solar panel on the roof, or by a 240v electric hook up. The vehicle has independent fuses and two RCD breaker boxes for for each circuit, including the external mains hook up. There is a 20m mains hook up cable plus euro adapters for it. The vehicle has 12v sockets and lighting, plus 240v sockets that can be powered by the invertor from the batteries, the generator or 240v hook up. The system is set to trickle charge from the solar panel by default. The hot ware heater is gas powered and provide hot water to the kitchen sink, shower ad bathroom sink from the 80l water tank. The shower and sink's waste water goes to a 47l storage tank. The vehicle has a diesel electric fan heater that can be safely run 24/7 in cold climates. The is also a large wind out awning which covers the approximate size of the main cabin. This has additional sides and frame to allow outside/inside use. There are also two roof bars fitted that provide room for surfboards/kayaks etc. The vehicle also has a rear tow bar for towing caravans and trailers etc or for use for rear mounted bike racks and storage boxes etc.

In terms of condition, the vehicle has been in storage for approx 2 years. It has rust in common with a vehicle of its age, but it as mainly surface rust. The underside has been sealed and is in good condition. It will need a small panel fitting in the engine bay as the battery area is rusty and needs replacing. It will also need a new battery. The engine runs fine but might need a service due to not have been run much lately. We have fresh oil and oil/air filters for this.

There is an dashboard light the glow plug indicator, so one of them might need replacing but the computer did'n show any error codes. The vehicle also has a ABS warning light which I was informed was on due to one of the abs sensors on the wheels needing to be replaced (approx £40 part). The hand brake cable needs to be replaced as does the bonnet cable.

I have been advised that with these items attended too, it would pass and MOT and be perfectly usable and values at £5-6000 in the current market.

I am keen to sell the vehicle to somebody willing to take it on and have priced it at £2500 for a quick sale.

I only glimpsed through it (it's a long read) but -

It may be worth stating the brand names as they seem to be very high quality/expensive. Truma, Sterling, Eberspacher etc

Serious bargain here. If I didn’t already have a van I’d snap that up
