North York(shire) Moors 300 is official. July 1st, Red Sky Bikes, Thirsk. More info on Farcebook.
Not sure the (shire) bit should be in the name, but maybe it's a 'Peak'/'Peaks' thing.
The YD300 was my favourite weekend last year, so can't wait.

Spotted this on Stu's FB page, I'm sure he'll put every effort into making this a tough route as he did the Dales 300 route

should be a good one

Interesting, love the NYMs too.
Hopefully I'll do a better job of at least getting to the start line, which I never managed to do with the YD300. Still want to go and ride the route though.

Well, starting from Thirsk, you can be sure it'll start with a stiff climb (and finish with a descent)

The "shire" bit def shouldn't be there, made that mistake myself.

Hey peeps. Stu here.
Managed to get a route sorted. It's a belter if I say so myself. 306km so I need to scrub off a few but what's 6km amongst friends?
6600 meters of climbing so a tad testing.
Same format as the YD300. Breakfast spread Saturday morning and some hot food is waiting for you when you return. An NYM300 badge if you finish and any profit from entry going to Heart Research UK in memory of my best buddy and two-wheeled partner in crime Iain Murray.

Event info, updated info and all other info will be on the Facebook page @thenorthyorkshiremoors300

I'm assuming the elevation gain is out by a factor of 10?

Some great names on the route, Rhumbard Snout Woods among them. Water supply looks pretty good as well. loads of rivers enroute.
