So who has a set of Salsa Fargo forks or similar with bottle cage mounts?

Or do you have another set of forks and how have you gone about securely fitting cages?

I'm always tempted, but not sure if it is just because I dig the look of them.

My Inbred has Enabler forks with Monkii cages on ... uses 2 of the 3 Anything cage mounts.

My (other) Inbred had Monkii clips and Monkii cages on carbon rigids.

More monkiis here, I had water cage bosses welded into the forks but now carry other stuff there and not bottles. Cookset in one and sleeping mat and pillow on the other.

Would the monkii clips fit on a suspension fork do you reckon?

They fit on my revelations fine if you use the longer bolt supplied.

No issues with mine on the WRT, although they do make me ride a bit slower downhill as if you were to come off i cant imagine it ending well :?

I have a decathlon strap-on mount and a Topeak cage mounted on the forks of my El Mariachi. It's been able to carry 500ml of fluid without moving.

Two cages on my Fargo forks. With the frame bag in use its my default. I think I actually find the bottles easier to access there.

Have you tried 750ml on it? They look just the job for my narrow cx forks, and do you think that the grooves for the rubber straps would take a jubilee clip or thick cable tie?

They only just fit on Fox 32's.

Anyone tried one of these Decathalon mounts?

I have one of these
seems to sit quite tight, but never fitted it to my forks.

I haven't tried that size of bottle yet but the mount seems secure enough.

The rubber straps are moulded on, with a "pimple" on the recessed part of the bracket that the strap then fits onto once you've pulled it tight (I'll try to get a photo up later). I guess you could cut off the strap and pimple and then use zip-ties/hose clips. As it is, once the bottle cage is fitted it's not possible to undo the straps.

That's the one I'm referring to in my posts above.

I've used the Decathlon mounts in the past. They never slipped or moved but I did have issues with the rubber straps perishing over time.
