Do you use any tablets etc afterwards?
Would you trust it if there were a few sheep around?

I've got a McNett aqua straw (called something like that). Seems ok though barely used. About £30 IIRC.

I have a TravelTap filter
If I had my time again I'd have the gravity works shames as Stu & FF

I'd firstly be looking for water which i didnt think needed treating and just use a filter as a back up to make sure. Prevention rather than cure and all that. Plenty of options unless you were getting really desperate.

I went and had a look today but it's a bit bulky for the limited use I will get from it.
I got an inline filter that connects to a bottle or can be hung under a bladder
