I have a similar race vest that I used for the Tour Divide. They are brilliant - lightweight but very adaptable and can carry a multitude of food, waterproofs, water bladder etc. You may not like things on your back, but these running vests are definitely not the 25 litre rucksacks that make life on a bike hot and hard.

Excuse my ignorance but can you use this with say a 1.5lt bladder ?

You can yes. I've never tried it so dunno if it would make the vest tighter etc.
