I like that, hours of fun. I do love a trig point, especially those in what are now apparently odd locations, tells you about the history of the place.

On The Island there is one in the middle of a woods, one in an industrial estate and one that's got woods on one side and a 6fy high close boarded fence on the other

There are some around me that at first make no sense until you look down a valley and can see another one. So they are not high points, but litteral line of sights.

So when centring the map on your house how many of the eight have you visited? I've visited five.

Only two too. It's a bit weird as the nearest TPs are mostly north of me, not in the bigger mountains at all.

I visited all the trig points on The Island in a single ride once

Heh heh, just given me a flashback to our 'exact to the nearest metre Boris 7 miles N/S/E/W from town centre' lockdown rides MuddyPete n meself did. As harebrained as any idea, but some of the most interesting rides we've ever done.

Trig points - just as futile/pointless but brilliant.
