I got thinking while dawdling round the lakes at the weekend.

Wales has WRT

England has Jennride

Has Scotland got a similarly relaxed event I've not noticed?

If not does anyone fancy putting one on :-bd

Interested as I'm now on mainland Scotland things will be easier to attend, though Wales is still a PITA (and in-laws are there 😜)

Roam Scotland Rally? Tends to be on the gravel/XC side of things and has a different route each year. Great event, a relaxed tour/explore approach.

Cairngorm loop and just 'dawdle' round the outer loop*, finishing down Glen Tilt?
Wouldn't be hard to have a bit of a social the night before and some perfect camp/bivi opportunities, with good resupply.

*if OK with Colin obviously....

Hee hee.

I was just thinking about this thread again yesterday, pondering where a good "hub" would be. Ideally, somewhere with a decent train link and on a line that has the new carriages. That puts it in the West at the moment where there are fewer route options (geology is a bastard). I'll continue to ponder.

Sounds like we have an organiser :-bd

If I get any say as your muse for this event could it be MTB biased please. None of this gravel nonsense
