Hi All,
Don't suppose anyone has a Surly Snugnut going spare? Or can recommend another alternative for use with a SS Karate Monkey?
Cheers,
Sam

I've already got a tuggnut but need a snuggnut to work with the 12mm thru axle

Right you are - I'd not come across them but I still live in the dark ages

Can you not drill the hole bigger?

Came here to correct a spulling errur and instead learnt something. Most excellent. Though I have no need for a Snugnut as my SS bikes are all from the dark ages

I considered this but looks the tuggnut design with 2 holes won't quite work on the newer dropouts

I was also shocked when my trusty tuggnut didn't fit

I use these in the 10mm version - cheaper than the Surly and you get a pair

It does work, singlespeed on the driveside, I drilled mine. The snuggnut is neater though
(If you wanted to use it to adjust wheelbase on a geared setup, you'd need to trim the bottle opener off the bottom too, at least with shimano derailleurs.)

Thanks for the info. Which hole did you end up drilling? I guess it may depend on the chain length you are running?

The same one used in the pic stu posted above.
I wanted a snuggnut as its much neater, but already had a tuggnut so went for it

That's what SPD pedals are for.
