Hello all,

I've been conversing with The Boss as I'm after a set of bikepacking bags. I felt fairly sold on the Acepac harness system for both a handlebar and saddle bag set up - however there appears to be zero stock in the UK now!

If anyone has anything to offer that might suit someone to start with (or beyond) then do let me know.

I will eventually be after a tent as well but these have proven to be just as much of a minefield as the bag choices!

That was quick! I'll have a measure up against my frame and let you know. It's a 52cm '21 Checkpoint so might be a bit tight. I'm intrigued by the hose top being mentioned - is that for a hydration bladder or am I being overly hopeful/a complete numpty?

Its incredibly stable and I love it but its rubbish with bar lights as its high and its rubbish with carbon forks due to how it attaches
Sale on at alpkit so it should be £70 would sell it for £30 probably - I really love it for proper mountain bike routes as its just so stable

Unfortunately, my frame is just a bit too small which is a shame. But thank you! I am gutted I can't find Acepac stock as I was ready to buy both saddle and handlebar harness systems!

Can I ask why the Kanga is rubbish with carbon forks? My gravel bike does have them so I wouldn't want to get something that won't suit! Thank you.

why the Kanga is rubbish with carbon forks?

they are not rubbish its just the way they attach to the fork crown means its likely to rub. I would personally avoid it with carbon forks* - especially as you are buying new and almost every other method does not involve this - so get something more suited.


* someone on here wore through some expensive forks with rubbing though its probably easy to avoid with heli tape etc but i still would not get it if I had carbon forks
I do have frame bags etc on carbon frame but there is a lot of helitape used
