Hiya, so finally after many planned and aborted/cancelled bivvy attempts I have the solstice fully penned on the calendar.
Just getting together bits and bobs, what important items am I missing?
Bivvy Bag
Sleeping Bag
Poncho/Tarp
sleeping matt and inflatable cushion
guy ropes & pegs
Emergency silver shelter blanket
beer can stove/spork/enamel mug
meths/matches
Dry bag
Map/Compass
Not too sure of plan re food/clothes. Any thoughts /suggestions welcome!!

Windshield for your stove might be a good idea.
If you're taking the silver blanket as an emergency item then I wouldn't bother (you've got a bivvy bag and a tarp) but if you're going to use it as a groundsheet, all is well
Have you tried your mug on your stove? Not all 'enamel' is created equally, some can't handle the heat and it will all act as an insulator and slow your boil times down*
*nerd content, sorry

You're well ahead of me - I forgot the Spork and tent pegs last week.... now I know what the penknife on the multitool is for (cue whittling session!)

Had to eat my brekkie with a mates fork!

Yeah the silver blanket was an added safety item but you are right, unless i burn my sleeping bag down I won't need it :)
What sort of clothing do you guys take? Was thinking a hat and possibly gloves and some thermal bottoms/top.
need to add some toilet paper/shovel to the mix too :)

Clothing depends on the forecast and time of year. I do have a merino beanie and I take a primaloft jacket or gilet for the evenings. Spare socks for sleeping so I have dry ones for the bag. Usually take a base layer for warmth and sleeping in. Foe evenings I either use some ancient Rohan walking trousers, Ron Hill bikesters or some Patagonia Capilene long johns.
Waterproof's depend on forecast and range from a thin Craft item to a better, hooded, Finisterre item. I have some lightweight Montane Atomic DT overtrousers I take if forecast suggests it would be useful.
