Have you ridden these?

Post by Ray Young »

A long shot I know but has anyone ridden "The Wheel Causeway" or "Dere Street" in the Scottish borders and are they rideable. Will be checking them out some time with a view to a long route for next year but being forwarned of their quality beforehand is good.

Dere Street is still open to motorised vehicles (in places at least). To me, that means it should be an obvious track though after bad weather it can be a bit churned up. I passed a section of it just north of the border last autumn and it all looked great around there.

Just found another site saying dere street is walkable along the exact bits I want to use, keeping my fingers crossed for the wheel causeway.
