Very, very long shot, but I'm after quite a specific mat. I'm looking for the Exped HL Winter in medium length, wide fit.
I'll take SynMat or DownMat, depending on price.

Thank you

Thanks for the links Stu. I'm actually looking for a wide mat, as I tend to side sleep and move about. Also looking for something "winter spec" as I'm switching to a quilt and looking to get out all year round.

Edit: this is winning at the minute, but checking there's nothing second hand going first. https://www.ultralightoutdoorgear.co.uk ... -mat-p6650

Both of those I linked to are fine for year round use with a quilt.

Worth remembering that the shape of a tapered mat will in some part negate the benefits of a wider mat ... in my experience.

I have been looking for similar. I haven't been able to find a Synmat HL UL winter in wide medium, only wide long.
The only wide medium I've found is the Synmat HL UL not winter. Maybe they don't do the winter one in wide medium. Also I wish Exped would have a complete reset if thier pad names. It's getting complicated. Maybe new names like The skinny orange winter one. The square grey down one, the skinny red one.

Bearbonesnorm wrote: Thu Dec 30, 2021 10:51 am How about a new Downmat lite for £76 https://www.outdoorgb.com/p/Exped_Downm ... eping_Mat/

or a UL7 Synmat for £106 https://www.outdoorgb.com/p/Exped_SynMa ... l_Pumpbag/
They are tempting! I use a thin, cheap one set the moment inside my hunka bivvy, I'm always cold in winter, i think these would be a tight fit inside, how do you set yours up? Also i don't know if this would tempt me in to stopping more often than I'd like

I used a SynMat LW in a Hunka XL a few times.

Was a tight fit, tricky to get in and out and squashed your feet.

Worked for first couple of bivis though.

I since bought a Borah Bivi J Zip in wide/long which is recommended under a tarp as so much easier to get in and out (but not waterproof by itself).

Shouldn't have trouble inside a Hunka XL but too tight really inside a standard version.
