I walked up that way in the morning but couldn't see any crossing, obviously I didn't go high enough.

For reference and from the bottom - through the BW gate and follow the steep switch-back path up. It becomes less distinct the higher you go. Once it appears to run out, continue straight on for 100 yds with the edge of the forest to your right. As you do, you'll pick up another faint track that crosses your path. Turn left along this track and head towards the forest in the distance. (the track comes and goes a bit).
There are a serious of 'marker posts' across the top but I've little idea what they're marking - no doubt it's the official RoW but certainly not the track.
