Hi chaps,

A little bit of help required please.

I normally use “old fashioned” poles in my tarp that have a cap on the bottom to stop them sticking into the ground and a point at the end that goes through the eyelet in the tarp.

My friend has lent me his carbon poles but both ends look like the picture below. I’m a bit confused as to how I attach them to the tarp and also what’s best regarding the end that goes into the ground.

Sorry for numpty question!

cheers
Barney

I'd imagine that you just need to remove that plastic bit of one of the ends so you can put it through the eyelit of your tarp. Leave the other end as is to help it from sinking into the ground.

Isn't that just a cordlock put over the "point".
Take it off and it'll go through your eyelet.

Plastic bottle top or a stone to stop it sinking.
