A friend bought a medium 29er, a Specialized chisel.

The saddle bag she was using rubs on the rear wheel due to a lack of wheel to saddle clearance.

What saddle bags would people suggest for limited clearance?

Thanks.

Have a look at:

I have the Revelate Pika and at 167cm tall riding 27.5+ there's enough clearance about 5cm or so. Backcountry.scot gives the Revelate guidelines for saddle rail to tyre clearance.

I have a Carradice Bagman strategically positioned on the back of my saddle rails using the bend in the rails to angle it up and lift the bag (Carradice obvs) clear of the mudguard I use through the winter.

If it had not worked I would have fettled the Bagman to make it work.

Rev Pika pretty good. I use mine when I want to make maximum use of the dropper post so should be good for low seat / big wheel. I think a guy is selling one on the classifieds.

Smaller still is my mini Bikepack.eu one but unfortunately it looks like he's no longer operating.

The Wildcat Wayfarer is pretty small and might do.

Failing that, swap the rear for a 26in wheel and go all 69er (like loads of us tried 10 years ago) ....... actually, don't do this - it's terrible.
