I've got a gpx route on my Dakota stored as an archived route. I can view it fine but how do I change it into a route I can follow?
Is it as simple as getting to the start of the route then pressing 'go to' or something else?

One issue - as it is a Track and not a Route, some of the functions don't work (e.g. Time to Next Waypoint).

I found following a track on my Dakota and eTrex to have a few less functions than the Route but it seemed to use up less battery as its not constantly calculating things. It is true that its basically just a line on the map for you though.
I like this best and always use a track if possible.
To swap it, you can upload it to
www.bikehike.co.uk and then re save it as a route. If you happen to be at a computer with your cable when you want to do this.
