How competent of a tech are you mate? I think I've got a deore hydro knocking about but I can't remember if it actually works. You're welcome to it if you send the bear a beer.

I don't have a brake but I'm enjoying the fact that on the main page this says " WTD, Cheap disc bra"

Shimano MT400 units can be had on ebay and other places for not much more than £20. Probably not going to do better than that for price/performance.
