Fed up with i phone so time to move on!!
My list of wants;
Waterproof, fed up of buying bags & cases,
Ok camera,
Not the weight of a brick,
Good GPS capability,
Android,
Good battery,
Not the size of a portable tv,
Does such a phone exist?
Any help much appreciated

Waterproof may be hard find only on flagship phones, is this your budget.?

Good GPS is basically a given these days. Its worth looking at GSMarena.com for comparative specs. Getting a "small one" might be difficult but again, look at gsm arena for dimensions. The lack of bezels means that a 6" phone is no bigger than an older phone with a big frame around it.

Off the top of my head a Samsung S10e should fit most of your requirements.

Amazon have a good range of Ulephone Armor phones. I've not tried one but they claim to be rugged.

My last phone (Note 4) which was most definitely waterproof was ridden on the handlebars with an otterbox shell for protection. The day it died was in a 6 hour downpour and the shellcase had acted like a mini reservoir for water to sit around to edges and everntually ingress and death.

Bought an s8 (about 2 or 3 years old now, when they were still at the samsung store, so pretty much when they were released) and ridden through plenty of downpours of similar or worse conditions. Don't carry the phone on the bars anymore (invested in proper gps device after that event) but neither is it fully mollycoddled away. Every so often when moisture is detected and you put it on charge it'll bleep at you and tell you not to charge it*

Been going strong and works well for all them years (well, built in obsolescence aside)... Just checked (goes to check ebay) and the s8 can be had for between £80 to £160...

*charging the Note4 whilst still wet is what actually killed it and not the puddle of water. I was adamant to turn it on and charge it up. The more I tried (and it did turn on and talk to me at first) to charge and use it whilst still wet, the more it fried the internals. Dry rice is your friend and dont try charging a moist phone...

I have saved several phones/gadgets by putting them in a bag of dry rice on a warm radiator..
As soon as I have notice water ingress, ya what? Its got p**s wet through, I immediately it turn it off. If possible take batteries out.

Cling film or a small sandwich bag etc can make a reason waterproof jacket. I take my device out of its case, wrap it then back in the rubber case/cover.

I always keep it in a sealed case or dry bag overnight...

At the moment this Armor phone is grabs my eye, claims to do everything required, just wondered if anyone had tried it.....
Was looking around the £150 mark, this phone has a IP68 rating, so can be submerged to 1 metre for 30 minutes, impressive!

I'm half tempted by one of the cheaper ulephones and a payg sim with a couple of quid on it as a stunt double for my everyday phone.
