Looking for something small and light that I can roll up and stick in my frame bag and use to carry extra water and food at the end of the day. I had an old Nike one but it seems to have disappeared into the black hole that is my son's room.

Osprey. Bout 20 quid. Tis amazing and packs to a small apple size into its own pocket...

Alpkit do one or Apidura if you're feeling flush.

Not tried either as I made my own.

I used to have a Dare2B one which was OK. The straps are never padded enough for me, hence the myog.

Yeah, I have a Decathlon one. Mountain Warehouse do them too.

Another vote for the Decathlon pack (although mine is a different design to the one in the link, possibly an older model as I've had it for a while). Tiny when packed, big enough opened up and very cheap.

Sea to summit

Another decathlon packable backpack user, here.
Can find it on their website, but they have plenty of alternatives.
Bought specifically to stock up on BBQ goodies and beer, a few miles before arriving at the campsite.
Did the job admirably, and has also been used for picking up shopping on the way home from a ride.

Yeah, I've got a few and the Sea to Summit one is certainly my favourite and also the one I trust not to fall apart and deposit my cooked chicken and bread rolls on the floor. They also do a fully waterproof version which I might invest in.

Decathlon site isn't loading for me at the mo, but take care with the Decathlon bag if it's the really compact Sea2Summit copy. I'm a fan of their kit generally but I've had 2 and both had ropey seams and the shoulder strap loop on one let go after a bit of use.
In comparison my Sea2Summit folding bag has been in use for 6 years of trips now, no signs of any faults after a lot of use. Essential dinner-to-bivi transport kit that often holds up to 3kg of stuff.

I have quite a few options. About 3 decathlon ones, a berghaus one and a sea to summit. Latter one is the best for packability, it really is tiny. the berghaus one is the best backpack when being used as a pack. Decathlon is outstanding for value though

Decathlon one worked well for us backpacking around Uzbekistan last year.

Looking forward to when we can use it again

Sea to Summit for me, I have been using mine for six years and have tried hard to break it through abuse but it's still going strong.
Next time I will buy an orange one instead of black for visibility purposes.
