I just got a 13 L airlock, not the airlock extra, for my PD600. Whilst very impressed with the weight, I can't help feeling worried I'll bust a seam when stuff the sleeping bag in. Anyone had one rip in normal use or been surprised by their hardiness?

I have no idea on the Airlocks durability but always I wrap anything that is down in plastic bag as well. There's no point taking chances for the couple of grams it adds.

Had an 8L rip around the opening when stuffing my PD400 in but it had seen a lot of use before the incident.
It's not stopped me using them though.

I've put a hole in one by catching it in a buckle of the Tiger harness. Operator error IMO.

I also find the plastic stiffeners at the opening sometimes snap and can tear through the fabric (has happened on a couple of bags).

Mine get loads of abuse when shoehorning my sleeping bag in them and thats never caused an issue.

The only issues i've had have been due to the bags tearing slightly, and thats been on each type. I've put that down to when i've stuffed my sleeping bag in the zips been pressed against the sidewall and when its rubbed against my harness its warn through. Thats more user error on my part and would happen to any drybag.

I generally prefer the Xtra versions as the outside coating is a bit more gripy and holds onto my harness better. An normal airlock decided to self lauch itself on the BB200.
