Hi, I was wondering if anyone out there is using such a thing? Looks like I'm going to have to consolidate my bikes and just have one do-it-all bike...all I need to buy is a frame and will be able to use the parts off my other bikes, as none are suitable for all my needs. Whatever I get will preferably have 140mm travel, a tapered steerer and be designed around 26" wheels. Oh, and have space for a half-decent sized frame bag.

Has anyone got any recommendations? I would have kept my current full-sus frame but it doesn't lend itself well to carrying extra gear (frame bag, gas tank, water, etc).

EDIT: I should say I'm looking to buy second hand so I'm definitely not looking to spend a four figure sum.

Tricky to find S/H I expect, but the all-round susser that grabs my attention is the Liteville, there's a version that has pretty much a full frame-triangle's worth of bag space to thanks to a unique shock/rocker system in the top tube.

Don't mention Liteville! A mate has a 301, I'd love one but no chance on my budget.
I may have to change my fork to find a suitable frame, as that is the only reason I need a tapered headtube.
The ironic thing about me having this clearout is that I'll be using the money to buy computer and camera gear for filming bike stuff (amongst other outdoor things)!

2012 or earlier scott genius? Shock is out back so you get a triangle up front. Nice bikes too.

Mondrakers have a fair bit of room, would need to check full travel though to see where that linkage goes to.

Giant anthem is a bit short on travel but has a lot of frame room.

I think the scott would be best for what you say.

I've currently got a frame swap advert over on Singletrack, think I might just be better sticking to my original plan and selling my frame though. I should end up with an extra few hundred quid in pocket that way. I'll see what happens!

Having just looked at the shock configuration for the liteville, you could also have a look at a Nicolai Helius; should yield about the same space for a frame bag. They're quite good value if you can pick one up second hand.

P.s have you still got that Siren?

Hi Ian, thanks but I don't get on with Nicolai's standard sizing...they have long seat-tubes in relation to the toptube lengths (dropper seatpost issue more than anything else). I nearly ordered a custom one before I bought my Ibis, the price was getting on for 3k though!
Yes, I've still got the siren too...it would seem folk here in the UK know very little about them. I've tried to sell it for less than half of what I paid and still no interest!
