Not that cold but a grand day out. Various pics:

Looking over Wee Een Tarn

Cuckoo Brow Woods, Flat Fishy's hang, pub and "goose hotel" out of shot.

The night was spectacularly clear and the starscape was vaguely exciting, but I took this shot of my hang the following morning instead :? Dusting of snow on the distant peaks.
Image

After blowing out my arse on a few climbs the day before I lead the retreat via the chain ferry to Bowness and a waiting fry up in whichever cafe would let us in. FLat FIsh not exactly fighting my choice ;)

BLoody FB and image sizes  After misunderstandings about "trying mine for size" Flat Fish decides that yes, he really should add one of these to his gear store after an impromtu hang in the car park of Oxenholme Station.

Everytime I looked back Cheeky was showing me my helmet. :?:

Quite excited by sheep.

Behold, loads of flat spaces for a wildcamp party.

Meeting the Bearbones IoM contingent in the pub.

Bridleways were almost bone dry, it were gert lush.

Cheeky choosing the way.

Not a big route in the Lakes by any stretch of the imagination but very pleasant none the less.
I can definitely recommend Claife Heights for a wild camp.

Ah, cheers - didn't realise someone was selling these. I'd seen some myog ones on bikepacking.net and fancied a go at making my own.
