Anyone looking for a short-travel trail/shredpacking/downcountry/insert-annoying-category bike? Not many to be found in the UK, compares similarly but favourably to my old Tallboy Mk3, with the addition of a mahoosive front triangle for all the water bottles or Salsa's custom framebag...

Had its first ride out today and i can report back and say, damn i like that bike

Good buy Mike. Mine is coming up to 1 year old. Great bikes for Lakes type cross country riding. If you start to get a creak, it's just the shock fixings and a spot of lactate sorts it.

EDIT: "spot of lactate sorts it." should obviously be 'Loctite'........

Boxelder/Mike, the creak that comes from the rear shock flip chip Salsa have made an upgraded part but as Boxelder said loctite works just as well.

It's a great bike at an impressive price

Karl, how is the update different? I reckon it's just the anodising and if it was shiny steel, it wouldn't happen.
